St. Paul CME Church has been a cornerstone of the Docena, Alabama community since 1916. Founded by Rev. W.E. Perkins, our congregation has grown through over 110 years of faithful service, steadfast leadership, and God's transforming love.
We are a congregation of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, proudly part of the 5th Episcopal District, Birmingham Region — under the spiritual oversight of Bishop Dr. Clarence K. Heath and the pastoral leadership of Rev. Elder Desi L. Echoles, Presiding Elder of the Birmingham District.
We offer Sunday worship, Bible Study, Youth & Young Adult Ministry, and Singles Ministry — in person at 400 Circle St, Docena AL and online through YouTube and Zoom.
Rooted in the Wesleyan-Methodist tradition, guided by the Word of God, and Spirit-led in all we do.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God — our foundation for faith, practice, and daily living.

St. Paul CME Church is part of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church — one of America's historic African American denominations — and a proud member of the 5th Episcopal District.
Oversees our district and appointed our current pastor in July 2022.
Our Senior Pastor also serves as Presiding Elder of the Birmingham District, CME Church.
